The scenes were all constructed in reverse. Of course, the whole point of this is that it's just farcical, trashy writing. Anyone that emotionally distant and cold would be a ♥♥♥♥ conversationalist. Delilah and Henry never meet despite talking for almost 3 months. Also, if it's been three years, then why is this the first time he decides to pull all these tricks? He makes less sense than a Scooby Doo villain.Īnd you have the supposed resolution. His motivations are nonsensical (explained away as him just being insane) and he architects the whole spooky mystery for absolutely no reason. Then we have Ned, the ultimate lampshade. If Brian hates climbing and hides equipment etc so his dad won't make him do it then what the ♥♥♥♥ sense does it make that he would die in a climbing accident? What's the deal with the two rangers' notes? Why include pointless correspondence that seems to allude to something ominous at Wapiti? How are they having a conversation when you're the one basically receiving their notes? Why would they not pick them up? Why do the girls leave all their ♥♥♥♥ behind? They're either fleeing from (they assume) a creepy murderer in the middle of the night, which doesn't explain why they had time to write a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ note, or they decided they weren't in any danger and left a note but then they would have surely packed up their tent/belongings? Also: there's a bear we never see that trashes said ♥♥♥♥ for dramatic effect. ![]() ![]() They're actively deceiving the player in a way that feels less like a magic trick and more like a scam. Here's why I think a lot of people are angry: the story is so misleading that it's actually completely unrealistic and loaded with fridge logic.
